The Butterflies model from the Butterflies Collection honors Patria, Minerva, and María Teresa Mirabal—three Dominican sisters who were murdered in 1960 for their resistance to a brutal dictatorship. Their bravery sparked international recognition, and November 25 is now observed as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Designed by Numa Torres with artwork by Inma Medina, Butterflies fuses history, identity, and art. Handcrafted by Numa by Spanians, each pair represents transformation, resilience, and sisterhood—reflected in the powerful symbolism of the butterfly.
