The Patria model from the Butterflies Collection honors the legacy of Patria, Minerva, and María Teresa Mirabal—three Dominican sisters who were murdered in 1960 for opposing a brutal dictatorship. Their courage and resistance led the UN to declare November 25 the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
